Environmental Technical Consulting
Specialist subcontract support in groundwater characterization, environmental data analysis, wetland science, and applied conservation technical practice — for firms, agencies, and regulated industries across New Hampshire and New England.
Where GSS Delivers the Most Value
These three service areas represent GSS's deepest expertise — each backed by active project experience, relevant credentials, and sustained demand from engineering firms and conservation organizations across New Hampshire.
Environmental Data Analysis & Report Writing
Contaminated site data interpretation, statistical analysis of groundwater monitoring data, technical report drafting and review, and regulatory agency submittal preparation. The analytical depth of a graduate engineering program, delivered as subcontract support on your timeline.
Who engages this service: Environmental engineering firms seeking senior analytical subcontractors for complex datasets or high-stakes regulatory deliverables.
Groundwater Monitoring & GMP Development
Active NHDES/EPA-regulated hazardous waste site experience. Services include monitoring well sampling programs, water table mapping, plume characterization, groundwater monitoring plan (GMP) development, and technical review for existing programs.
Who engages this service: Environmental consultants managing NH remediation sites; responsible parties (PRPs) seeking qualified field and analytical subcontract support.
Wetland Delineation
NH CWS Certification Pending
Wetland boundary delineation, hydric soil identification, vernal pool assessment, wetland functional assessment, and delineation report preparation. NH Certified Wetland Scientist (CWS) application submitted — the required credential for NH wetland work.
Who engages this service: Engineering firms, developers, and conservation organizations needing NH CWS-stamped delineations; wetland-focused firms with seasonal overflow capacity needs.
Additional Areas of Deep Expertise
Conservation Practice Design & Inspection
NRCS Technical Service Provider (TSP) certification application in process. Once certified: conservation practice design, layout, installation inspection, and checkout for EQIP, AMA, and CSP-funded farm projects throughout NH.
Land Application, Biosolids Technical Support
Biosolids land application permitting support, nutrient management planning, agronomic rate calculations, and regulatory compliance review for municipal utilities, biosolids handlers, and mine reclamation operations. Retainer arrangements available for ongoing technical support needs.
Soil Health Assessments & Soil Mapping
Soil profile description, soil health assessment, site-specific soil mapping, and soil-based siting evaluations for conservation practices, drainage systems, and agricultural stormwater management. Paired naturally with wetland delineation and NRCS conservation practice work across NH farm and conservation sites.
How an Engagement Works
Initial Consultation
A 30-minute call to understand your project's technical needs and scope. No cost, no obligation. We'll determine quickly whether the credentials and availability are a fit.
Scope and Agreement
For recurring engagements, a Master Services Agreement and Statement of Work are executed upfront. For project-specific work, a simple letter agreement. Scope and deliverables are defined in writing before work begins.
Delivery
Work is delivered under your firm's letterhead if preferred, or under the GSS name as a named subconsultant. Invoicing is monthly for retainers, milestone-based for project work.
Ongoing Relationship
Preferred retainer clients receive priority scheduling. The goal is a stable, long-term technical partnership — not a transactional one-off.
- General Liability insurance maintained for field work
- NH LLC in good standing, registered with NH Secretary of State
- ArcGIS Pro capable — GIS analysis and mapping deliverables available
- References available from active project work
