A Greenhouse Built to Grow, Not Just to Stand
Anyone can bolt a kit together. A greenhouse that truly produces needs the right siting for sun, drainage, and airflow on a base that will not shift, which is what Todd's controlled-environment research and farm experience bring to your build.
Your High Tunnel May Qualify for Federal Cost-Share
USDA NRCS programs like EQIP can cover a significant share of the cost of a high tunnel for eligible producers. It's often the single biggest unlock for getting one built. The catch is the application: it has to be built to NRCS specifications, with proper siting, drainage, and documentation.
Todd spent five years as an NRCS civil engineer. He knows the program, the practice standards (CPS 325), and what reviewers look for, and he can guide your application alongside the build so the structure meets spec from day one.
More Than Assembly
The difference between a greenhouse that thrives and one that struggles is rarely the kit — it's everything around it. GSS handles the parts that determine whether yours produces.
Sited for Sun & Airflow
Orientation, light, and ventilation planned with a CEA background so your growing environment works in every season — not just on paper.
A Stable, Drained Base
Site prep, leveling, and a properly drained foundation so the structure stays square and the floor stays dry through freeze-thaw.
Built & Laid Out Inside
Full assembly plus interior bed layout and growing-system design — so it's ready to produce the day it's finished.
Greenhouses & High Tunnels
- Hobby and four-season greenhouses on prepared bases
- NRCS-spec high tunnels eligible for EQIP cost-share funding
- Site prep, leveling, and foundation work
- Structure assembly and interior bed layout
- Ventilation, growing-system, and irrigation planning
- Paired with fenced gardens and raised beds (see Gardens)
Typical Greenhouse Builds
GSS does not sell greenhouse kits. Todd assembles the kit you choose (or helps you choose one) and builds everything around it. Pricing depends heavily on the kit, the site, and how much production capacity you want.
Hobby Kit Assembly
You have the kit and a level spot. GSS handles assembly and anchoring.
Starts around $2,500
- Kit assembly & anchoring
- Basic leveling on an existing pad
- Ventilation & door fit-out
- Add-ons quoted separately
Full Greenhouse Build
The most common project. Site to growing, GSS handles everything.
Typically $9,000 to $18,000 + kit
- Site prep, grading, drained foundation
- Kit assembly (CEA-informed siting)
- Interior bed layout & drip-ready
- Optional fenced garden pairing
NRCS High Tunnel (CPS 325)
For producers. Built to NRCS spec and eligible for EQIP cost-share.
Starts around $15,000
Production high tunnels scale with facility size and growing goals, so cost varies by project. Contact Todd for an estimate built around your operation.
- Sized to NRCS practice standard 325
- Site prep & documentation for cost-share
- Assembly & commissioning to spec
- Application guidance available
"+ kit" means the greenhouse kit itself is a separate cost the client purchases. Todd helps select the right one for the site, climate, and crops. Final pricing is fixed or not-to-exceed before any work begins.
