A Garden That Actually Grows Food
Most backyard gardens fail because of what is under the beds, not what is around them. GSS builds complete kitchen gardens on tested, corrected soil, with deer-proof fencing, cedar beds, and drip-ready paths, so they produce the first season and improve every year.
It Starts with the Soil, Then Everything Else
A few cedar boxes dropped on the lawn isn't a garden. GSS builds the whole system from the soil up, so it works the first season and for years after.
Soil Built to Produce
Tested, corrected, and blended for what you want to grow, so plants thrive year one and the bed gets more productive each season. This is where most gardens fail, and where a PhD in agricultural science earns the difference. More →
Cedar Beds, Built to Last 15+ Years
Eastern white cedar resists rot naturally, with no chemicals and no replacing boards every few years. Sized and spaced for easy reach and good airflow, on a layout matched to your sun, slope, and how you actually want to garden.
Deer-Proof Fence, Drip-Ready Paths
Augered posts and real gates that actually keep deer, woodchucks, and rabbits out, plus clean gravel paths laid out for drip irrigation.
Kitchen Gardens, Start to Finish
- Fenced, deer-proof garden enclosures with gates
- Cedar raised beds, custom sizes and layouts
- Soil blends matched to your crops (see Soil Health)
- Gravel pathways and weed-barrier groundwork
- Drip irrigation layout and installation
- Pairs naturally with a greenhouse build
A Soil-First Plan Before Anything Gets Built
A productive kitchen garden is a small ecosystem, not a stack of cedar boxes. Every GSS engagement starts with a written plan grounded in what your soil actually is, how sun and water move across your site, and what the garden can produce without leaning on imported inputs your land does not need. The plan is a paid deliverable that belongs to you. If you book the build with GSS within twelve months, half of what you paid for the plan comes off the build price.

Soil health and resource stewardship sit at the center of every plan. The goal is a garden that returns more than it asks for over time. More on soil health →
